Razi Almerbati is the CEO of GFH Capital S.A. and the Group Chief Placement Officer, Placement & Relationship Management at GFH Financial Group. He brings to his role more than 15 years of experience in the banking and finance sector including a significant track record in Islamic investments and advisory. His areas of expertise include private banking and wealth management as well as private equity.

Prior to joining GFH, Razi most recently served as Head of Investment Development & Distribution for the GCC region at The First Investor in Qatar, a subsidiary of Barwa Bank. Prior to that, he was Regional Director of the Investment Advisory Group of Abu Dhabi Investment House.

Husain is responsible for overseeing the company’s operational effectiveness and ensuring alignment across support and control functions. In this capacity, he works closely with department heads to ensure that these critical areas contribute effectively to the firm’s strategic objectives by enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting risk mitigation efforts.

He also plays a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and business plan. His responsibilities include ensuring that governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks are aligned with the long-term goals of the organization. Additionally, he oversees key financial transactions as an authorized signatory, ensuring sound governance in financial operations.

Prior to his current role, he served as the Head of Internal Audit at GFH Financial Group, the parent company of GFH Capital. In that role, he led the Bank’s internal audit function, with a particular focus on establishing and managing risk-based audit activities. His work was instrumental in evaluating and strengthening internal control systems, risk management practices, and governance processes across the Group.

He brings over 22 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector. Before joining GFH in 2006, he worked as an Internal Auditor at Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company (Tasheelat) and began his career with Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accounting firms.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Diploma in Accounting from the University of Bahrain. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and holds the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).

Riyaz is responsible for driving the company’s financial planning and analysis, management of its cash and liquidity risk, and the company’s internal and external compliance and related policies.

He brings more than 20 years of experience to GFH Capital in the areas of banking, finance, MIS, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit.

Prior to joining GFH Capital, Riyaz was Director – Budgeting & Management Reporting at SNB Capital Company and previously spent seven years at Samba Capital & Investment Management Co., where he recently served as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to these roles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he held a number of senior positions in banking, finance, and audit in India. These include Assistant Vice President at IndoStar Capital Finance and Head of Operations at ICICI Home Finance, amongst others.

He has a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Nagarjuna University, India and is also a CFA Charter holder from the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute, USA, a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and a Cost and Management Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Haifa Sulaiman is an Executive Director at GFH Capital, boasting over 18 years of experience in private equity and M&A with a respectable track record in origination and sourcing, structuring, advising, and managing private equity in addition to financial experience, investment structuring and project management process of several investments post the acquisition phase. Haifa has led due diligence and execution of both buy-side and sell-side transactions, with a portfolio spanning sectors such as Education, Healthcare and Real Estate across GCC, Europe and US.

Throughout her career, she assisted in closing transactions cumulatively worth over US $1 billion, Haifa was part of the leading team members in establishing GFH’s education platform “Britus Education”, in addition to managing the operation of other education assets in GFH’s portfolio where she played an instrumental role the operational and brand transformation of AMA International University, currently knows as University of Technology Bahrain (UTB).

Haifa is an active contributor to investment committees and serve on the boards of select Group portfolio companies. Haifa holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Bahrain and has passed the first level of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams and is a level II candidate.

Mohamed Al Tamimi is a Senior Executive Director in the Placement & Relationship Management team, heading the Riyadh Market. He brings to his role more than 16 years of experience in the investment banking and retail banking sectors.

Prior to joining GFH Capital, Mohamed held a position as Investment Advisor in Takaud Savings and Pensions, as well as positions at Ithmaar Bank and HSBC Bank.

Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Services from Bradford University in the United Kingdom. Mohamed is also a certified Series 7 license holder, with expertise in securities trading, wealth management, investment risk and equity.
